There is a wide variety of bed frame sizes, which makes it difficult to have a clear idea of what would suit. Appropriate drapery dimensions for a 140 x 190 pouces bed are provided to help you make your choice. To paraphrase the French, just follow the instructions.
What should be the length of a drapery rod?
The fitted sheet is a key element of your bed's equipment and it must be the same size as your mattress. The actual dimensions being always a bit larger than the announced dimensions so that the drapery can fit better, it is useless to allow for a margin.
You must also choose the appropriate size for the caps, which must be the same as the thickness of the mattress 5 to 7 cm. This extra fabric will allow you to create a border around the fitted sheet under your mattress, keeping it in place even if you move a lot. Finally, note that some brands offer custom duvet covers, ideal for extra-thick mattresses or equipped with mattress toppers, as well as thinner mattresses generally used in children's beds.
What length would be appropriate for a flat drapery?
Choosing the right measurements for a flat sheet is more difficult than for a duvet cover or a fitted sheet. In fact, it should extend enough under your mattress to cover it completely. Therefore, it is better to go big than too little.
Follow these guidelines to choose a product with appropriate dimensions:
- If you have a 90x190 or 90x200 mattress, a 180x190 centimeters sheet will suit it perfectly.
- For a 140x190 cm or 140x200 cm mattress, a 240x300 cm sheet is the best option.
- Choose a 270 x 310 inches drapery for a 160 x 200 inches or 180 x 200 inches mattress.
What size of duvet and cover do you use?
Find the right duvet size
It is not difficult to determine the duvet size you need for a 140x190 centimeter bed. In fact, it is recommended to let the mattress 30 to 40 cm hang down on each side to block the cold air flow.
We recommend a cutter of dimension 220x240 cm for a normal 140x190 cm bed to get a 30 cm overhang. If you sleep alone and don't turn over much, a smaller duvet might suffice. On the other hand, opt for a 220x240 centimeter duvet if you have restless sleep or share your bed.
Select a good duvet cover
The hoop of your cutter must be perfectly adapted to your cutter in terms of size. In fact, if your bag is too small, your wrists will fall and if it is too big, you can end up with gaping holes all over your body, which is not ideal.

What length should pillowcases and bolster covers be?
The earring clips, or "tais", are available in two basic sizes. For square earrings, this gives a pompon size of 63 x 63 mm. Your rectangular pillows will need 50x70 cm of fabric for the pillow covers.
It is important to remember that the decorative bands that are often seen on the edges of the pompoms are not included in these measurements.
The traverse is often added to the earring for aesthetic purposes. In addition to providing effective lumbar support in a seated position, it also offers excellent neck and head support. The edges of a cross-section should extend beyond the traverse by about 25 centimeters on each side.
Regarding width, all our products are standard at 23 or 24 centimeters in diameter, which makes them comparable to traditional bolster models. In other words, you cannot go wrong with your purchases.
What are the benefits of a 220x240 cm duvet cover for a 140x190 cm bed?
Standard home bedding for a 140 to 190 centimeter bed corresponds to a 200 to 200 centimeters duvet cover. You prefer a larger billot and billot cover, don't you? Choose a rolled thread hoop that measures 220x240, as it suits a double bed.
If you want to cut through thicker materials, you will need a larger cover.
- Go to bed together;
- Sleep disturbances;
- You are the kind of person who appreciates a warm embrace;
- You might want your billot to fall far over the sides of the bed.
