Exercise doesn't have to be a gimmick. In fact , making physical activity enjoyable is always a good strategy if you want to stick with it and avoid getting bored after a couple of tries. Breaking up your activity periods might just be the key to getting back in shape.

Because the positive effects of exercise can be felt so quickly, these short sessions motivate us to do more. And who doesn't have ten minutes to spare to get moving in their schedule? We'll even give you some clever suggestions on how to get moving instead of just sitting around waiting...

Good idea, isn't it? Choose the thing that tickles you the most and have a good time.

Walk briskly and more often!

Walking is the safest and most practical way to get around and avoid injuries. It's a low-impact cardio workout with proven long-term benefits. Why not take fifteen minutes or more of your lunch break to go for a walk (and get some fresh air and a break from your screen in the process)?

Alternatively, plan longer walks in the evening. Want to spend some money? Choose a faster pace for your travels.

Are you interested in going for a run? Walk for a while, then run for a while, and vice versa. There's no doubt that as you progress in this direction, you'll start to feel better about yourself .

No matter where we're going (to work, the dentist, the theater, etc.), we can make a habit of parking or getting off at a stop further away to include walking in our commute. Get outside and enjoy the summer by exploring some of the many available trails .

The Dance

It's proven! There are physical and psychological benefits to dancing. The group plays three or four catchy songs and lets the night flow by without complaint. It's an excellent stress reliever when times are tough!

And if you want to spend a little more time training, you can do some strength training exercises. That'll give you a nice little boost of endorphins to get you through the rest of the day!

Take the stairs

It's common knowledge that we can get more steps in our daily lives if we take the stairs instead of the elevator. So let's all do it! We'll be working on our cardiovascular fitness and lower body strength.

You will notice an improvement in your breathing within a few weeks, and that's priceless!

Using our arms to do a double duty

While waiting for an episode to load, watching the kids take a bath, or simply relaxing at home, you can strengthen your arms by lifting weights (or, if you don't have any, a water bottle or some cans). It works perfectly without any problems !

Take frequent screen breaks for "bodybuilding"

Want to watch a movie or TV show? You can use it to move around at the same time! It's a variety of things to do, and it can appeal to newcomers, as well as athletes and beginners, because working out at home can get boring after a while.

Therefore, we jump with a "jumping jack" or " toe-lock " style. Assisted positioning and push-ups are performed. A small ledge, perhaps?

And if you're on a stationary bike, you can always do interval training . When you're multitasking, time flies. To get a little extra exercise during our show, we offer 30-minute workouts.

Adopt mini-routines based on yoga as a daily practice

Short yoga sessions can be a great addition to the day, helping us move more freely and counteracting the effects of spending too much time sitting at a desk. We move slowly in the morning when we first get up. We stretch and awaken our bodies .

A few sun salutations help us feel better and loosen up our muscles and joints. Take a break from work in the afternoon and do some energizing exercises to ensure a great rest of your day. And in the evening, we can work out our favorite poses that release the tension built up since our alarm went off: child's pose, pigeon pose, a few downward-facing dogs, and so on. If it's dynamic and brings back memories of your own body , that's good enough.
